Marté Egele was born from a place of love; love for family, for individuality and for Africa. With every Marté Egele piece starting with a name, a name of close friends and family members.

A Dream to a Global Brand!

The dream for Uche’s fashion brand began in school as her friend pointed out her eye for detail. Without this acknowledgment, Uche wouldn’t have created her collection!

’I knew this was it - I kept going. I began sourcing leather, playing with materials, and creating handbags for friends.’

Uche after her first degree then underwent studies for womenswear and on the side designed accessories. Founding in 2015, she saw a platform to celebrate African’s rich culture and craftsmanship - Marté Egele was born!

Each accessory is handcrafted by talented artisans in Nigeria and Senegal, using premium leather sourced from Lagos, Nigeria!
