MEET THE DESIGNER
Faith Akali is a Nigerian-born fashion designer and the founder and Creative Director of Potrends, a Johannesburg-based menswear brand. Her work explores the intersection of African artistry, contemporary menswear, and cultural storytelling, drawing inspiration from everyday life, human experiences, and the landscapes that shape them.
Through a process that combines narrative development, illustration, textile design, and craftsmanship, Faith creates garments that balance artistic expression with refined tailoring. Her work seeks to transform familiar stories and observations into pieces that feel thoughtful, personal, and distinctly African.
