Gaea Lumi has craftsmanship and sustainability at its heart. Ayakeme Udokang started Gaea Lumi in 2019 after her hobby of crocheting, sustainability and ethics. It all began after  she tweeted a picture of a crochet hat that was a juxtaposition of a traditional nigerian hat silhouette and balaclava combination.

Not only is Gaea Lumi a symbol of Nigerian Pop-Culture but Akayeme is also a well respected designer in the sustainable fashion industry in Nigeria. Her dedication to eco-friendly practices that she enforces throughout her supply chain that include empowering local artisans make her a designer to watch!
