How It All Started

It all started with a tweet. In 2019, Ayakeme Udokang posted a picture of a crotchet hat – simple enough, right? Well, this wasn’t just any crotchet hat; it combined the silhouette of a traditional Nigerian hat with a balaclava design. It instantly went viral and caught the attention of fashion heads. Thus, the luxury African fashion company, Gaea Lumi, was born.
