Aristide Loua || Kente Gentlemen
Aristide Loua was born in western Côte d'Ivoire, in the village of Gadouan. His mother says that she gave birth to him with the help of her sisters - in a natural way and with the means at hand, behind her terracotta kitchen. Two years later, Loua’s 100% Bété family moved to the far North, to Korhogo, where they lived for 7 years.
The family later relocated to Dikodougou before settling in Yopougon, Abidjan. In late June 2005, Aristide’s family uprooted to New Delhi, India. As a teen, he later settled alone in Pondicherry, where he spent the last two years of high school. After receiving his baccalaureate, Loua took a sabbatical year, then moved to Utah and subsequently, New York to continue his studies in mathematics and actuarial sciences. After traversing the globe, Aristide returned home in 2015 to reconnect with his roots and actively commenced Kente Gentlemen.
